What is important in an arranged marriage to work?
Arranged marriages are common in our culture. It's not like you're giving up on
love, you just couldn't find love on your own and now all you need is a little
help from your family and friends. This doesn't make you less cool- you just
need to know what you are exactly looking in a guy, what qualities, what
characteristics and then you dive in. Most people we know to dive into getting
arranged married without thinking twice. Setting a timeline is quiet important,
unless of course you're in a rush to get married! Setting a timeline means
selecting a partner though a matrimonial site or through an arrangement by your
parents and giving the other person considerable amount of time before
marriage, so you can get to know each other better. It's only fair if you have
no idea about the person! You can spend a lot of quality time together, finding
out your likes, dislikes, habits and other important things. If possible, try
and live together for a bit. It will definitely tell you a lot about the other
person. They say if you marry someone in India, you marry their family too. So,
it's quite important to spend adequate amount of time with the family too.
